During our college years, we used to leave Christmas lights up all year long. It was a cheap (sort of tacky) way to breathe a little life into our sad, sad dorm room.
And, at night, there was something warm and comforting about them. They were infinitely more pleasant than our harsh overhead lights.
That's sort of how we feel about Danny Seo's LED string lights. They're not the least bit tacky -- but they are warm, comforting, pleasant, and actually kind of elegant.
On a balmy summer night, we want a seat at that table and a glass of wine.
When we have a back patio, we're stealing this idea.

i am currently in college and I assure you many of us still put up the christmas lights (the past two years I did because my parents were convinced some fire would break out while i was sleeping) tho my friend had some orange ones by his front door and when he would open it up it looked like you were going to eat in a mexican restaurant in there!
I like the look of blue LED string lights but will wait till xmas when they are on sale after the holidays!

I have an excess of string lights and put some of them to use lighting the parts of my garage that don't get enough light from the fixture in the middle of the ceiling.
