Upcycled Furniture by Jamie Ward

Jamie Ward takes old, discarded, essentially broken down pieces of furniture and breathes new life into them -- saving them from the junk heap and putting them back to good use.

We like most of his designs -- some are stronger than others -- they have a playful, unpolished aesthetic. They wouldn't work in every home, but they have a unique style we can seriously appreciate.

And, as you can probably tell, Ward isn't simply refinishing old chairs, or slapping coats of low-VOC paint on abandoned coffee tables. He's completely dismantling old pieces and building fresh furniture. We wish that this was something more designers would consider doing. Actually, we wish we could do it!
