Another Teeny Tiny House: The Don Vardo

1-28-2010house.jpgHere's yet another teeny, tiny house that you could own for $22,000. Like the houses built by the Tumbleweed Tiny House Company, the Don Vardo, built by Portland Alternative Dwellings, is super small (7x10 feet). And it's super green.

The Don Vardo has a desk, a kitchen nook, a double bed, and radiant heated floors. And it's made from all sorts of green materials: reclaimed wood, paperstone, etc.

Noticeably missing? A bathroom and a shower.

Unfortunately, we think that pretty much disqualifies it for full-time living. In fact, Portland Alternative Dwellings markets the tiny home as the perfect "writing/guest studio" on its website. As a guest studio, we think it would be a sweet, cozy little place to stay. However, better park it close to the main house in case any guests need to use the bathroom in the middle of the night.

As much as I would like to live in a smaller place, I think these places are ridiculously unrealistic. I'll stick with my 655 sq foot apartment thanks!

Well, I have a tiny house. I really do.
But this looks liek a toy house.
