You never quite know what you're going to get when you visit Johnny's, an amalgamation of all things local. Opened in Carrboro, NC in Feb. of 2008 by its owner Bryan Plaster, Johnny's was once a bait store called "Johnny's Sporting Goods." On the front side of Johnny's remains a Mexican tienda in a space which Bryan rents to a family that has managed it for 10 years. On Saturdays, a crepe truck sells breakfast while from Thursday to Sunday, a taco truck takes care of lunch and dinner. Free speed bingo is held every Wednesdays from 7-9 p.m., with prizes such as pastries, bread and chocolate milk.

During the winter, the fire pits are blazing and the fun doesn't stop. Johny's has been known to have community garage sales, oyster roasts and the kickoff spot for Crusin Tuesdays.
