Use a sigg bottle or a glass. But run the water till it's cold if you have old pipes.

Some people cannot get safe water from the tap, filter or not, so plastic water bottles are the only way to go. This is a step in the right direction. And if you recycle these, I don't see a problem calling it green.

If you cannot get safe water from the tap, you really need to buy a distiller. Saving the plastic does not change the fact that bottled water uses petrol for shipping.

What whytephoenix said. It will never be green to ship what is just filtered tap water when it is coming directly to your house through pipes. Not to mention it's a complete waste of money.
