Some people who are interested in green building suffer from multiple chemical sensitivity, or MCS. While some people are skeptical that MCS exists, those who suffer from it go to great lengths to place themselves in an environment that is as free as possible of chemicals. Because it's hard to know how many people have MCS, we're wondering how interested our readers are in this issue.

A friend of mine suffered from this. It came on very suddenly after her landlord sprayed for ants. Our bodies aren't machines, and no one really knows at what point all of the cumulative chemicals in our environment can really push over the edge.
I have another friend who believes that the high rate of breast cancer in Marin County (a very wealthy area) is due to women living in houses that are constantly renovated. Often these houses have very good windows, which is great, but if windows aren't opened it can be a little gas chamber with all of the toxic offgassing from new products.
So, I would love to read more about toxicity in live and work environments and how it can effect all of us, as well as MCS.
Thanks!
