Furniture and Woodworking by Bryce

3-21-table.jpg
When browsing Craigslist for furniture we came across the ad for table above and were intrigued. A little link following brought us to the site of AmaDove, and to a slightly creepy YouTube video about the furniture maker. We're having a hard time figuring out exactly what the deal is, but this furniture seems to be made in San Anselmo out of a combination of salvaged and new materials "with respect and reverence for Nature's limitations" by a woodworker, furniture maker and artist named Bryce.

Despite our reservations about the video, some of the furniture and wood pieces are pretty beautiful, we're especially fond of the "totem" above.
The Craigslist posting for the Beautiful Entry Table has some information, and you can see more of Bryce's furniture and woodworking on his website, and check out the YouTube video here.

The video is indeed creepy and more than a little pedantic. I'm not a fan of his creations -- they're amateur-looking, like the products of a junior-high shop class.
