Look! Inexpensive Bamboo Placemats from Target
...simple, durable mats that can be wiped down rather than put through the wash. We didn't want to buy plastic placemats, so we were a bit stymied until we found these.
They're not available online—you'll have to venture into your closest Target to find these. There is also a matching runner for $2.50.
(You won't have to walk far, though: they're in the bargain bins immediately inside the entrance.)
Crate & Barrel has the Kiray placemat, a similar product, priced at $4.95 each.
