We know that this is way nerdy, but when it comes to green building materials, we really love countertops. Yep, countertops. Why? They're always made from the coolest things, like recycled paper, fly ash and cement, recycled glass bottles, etc. And quite often, they're beautiful...
These ECO countertops by Consentino, which we just saw over at Jetson Green, are made from a really creative mixture of post-industrial recycled materials: lots of recycled glass (mirrors, windows, bottles), porcelain, stone, and "industrial furnace residuals from factories."
We also really like that the countertop is readily available at Lowe's.

I really agreed about the love of eco-countertops. Love them. Dream of owning a house and getting a wonderful white eco-friendly countertop.
