i'm sorry; i just don't get this thing. i can see the scummy soapy runoff pooling underneath. (no, sorry ... i DON'T wipe off the counter every time i use soap.)
i very much prefer soap holders that have a fishbone-like holder in a dish. the scummy stuff is at least contained and not gumming up everything beneath it.
